Salomon Rondon set to leave WBA for pocket money

Only a year after his club rejected a lucrative offer from a Chinese club, WBA star performer Salomon Rondon is set to part ways with the Baggies for mere £16.5 million.

The Venezuela international striker will be allowed to leave the club for aforementioned amount once the relegation is confirmed due to a release in his contract with West Bromwich Albion.

Albion are set to face a mass exodus this summer with highly sought after defender Jonny Evans leading the line with his paltry £3 million release clause in case of relegation.

WBA sit rock bottom in the Premier League with only 21 points after 33 rounds.

Albion parted ways with Alan Pardew last week and are still searching for a replacement that will overlook the club’s likely departure to the Championship.

Salomon Rondon is expected to spark a bidding war this summer with West Ham, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur all said to be keeping close tabs on the 28-year-old’s situation at Hawthorns.
