Salvatore Sirigu in advanced talks with Nice

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu is nearing a January move to Ligue 1 leaders Nice, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

The experienced shot-stopper is quite unhappy at the lack of playing time during the loan stint with Sevilla and he is eager to leave los Rojiblancos in the January window.

With his contract due to expire in June 2018, PSG wouldn’t mind selling him now, but the problem is that it is their title rivals Nice that lead the chase for his services.

Les Aiglons have offered Sirigu a three-and-a-half year deal and also submitted an official proposal to their league rivals, with both the club and the player expected to make their decision in the next 48 hours.

Another problem is that the goalkeeper hopes to return to Serie A one day in the future and such a long contract with Nice could be an issue.
