Newly-appointed Blackburn Rovers manager Sam Allardyce has opted to sell his star Paraguayan striker Roque Santa Cruz during the transfer window, which begins in January.
The Blackburn Rovers Board has also agreed to release ₤10 million in order for Allardyce to spend so that he can beat the relegation threat.
That sum will increase considerably with the sale of Santa Cruz, who has wanted to leave the club since mark Hughes left prior to the new season.
First in the queue is likely to be Mark Hughes of Manchester City who has failed twice already this season to secure his former striker. The amount is expected to be around ₤20 million.
