Competition: Scottish Premiership
Market: Sam Cosgrove to score anytime
Odds: 11/5 @ Bet 365
Still within touching distance of top spot, Aberdeen will travel to a struggling Hope CBD Stadium on Wednesday night.
Starting with the hosts, coming off the back of another lackluster showing in their 2-0 loss away at St. Johnstone last weekend, Martin Canning’s Hamilton side are really struggling at the start of the New Year. Now enduring a three-match losing run and without a win since December 1st, they now hold a just a four-point buffer from dropping to the bottom of the Premiership table. Along with failing to record a victory in their last four matches at the Hope CBD Stadium, it will be Hamilton’s recent defensive issues giving Canning the biggest headache.
As for the visitors, after being forced into a replay after playing out a shock 1-1 draw with Stenhousemuir in the FA Cup last weekend, Derek McInnes will be calling for an immediate response. With their close-fought 4-3 loss to Celtic their only defeat in their last eight matches, the mood in Aberdeen’s camp should be on a high. Still dreaming of a surprise title push, the Dons will be looking for leading goalscorer Sam Cosgrove to lead their charge. The 22-year-old has now bagged seven goals in his last five league matches and should be confident of extending that tally.
