Chris Samba has urged Blackburn fans not to worry in the wake of their poor start to the Premier League season.
Rovers have amassed just four points from a possible 21 so far, with pressure piling on manager Steve Kean.
With supporters protesting and demanding the sacking of Kean, these are tumultuous times for the club.
However, the Congolese defender asked the fans to not press the panic button.
“The message to the fans is there is nothing to feel alarmed [about],” he said in Pune in India, where the Rovers squad have travelled to during the international break.
“We have a lot of time to turn it around. It’s good that all the players come here together to find a little bit of togetherness, stay together and try to solve the problem – a bit away from all this press and all this pressure.”
Samba stated that it is just a matter of time before the team gels together and that they do have enough time to get the right results.
“This is not the first time we had a difficult start. We have new players coming in and they need to take to the pace of the game,” the 27-year-old said.
“For the young players, it is difficult to adapt to the pace of a Premier League team and show their great quality. As a young player, it’s just a question of time to put everything right, to put all the pieces of the puzzle together and start climbing the table.”
After being linked with Arsenal throughout the summer, Samba was quick to dismiss talk over a potential move away from Ewood Park.
“As you said, I was linked to several clubs but at the end of the day, I remain at the club. So it’s not the matter of other clubs anymore. It’s about what we can do to improve the team,” he said.
