Italy’s top league continues this weekend for even more heart-racing action. The league table is incredibly tight at the moment with one win allowing a side to move up a number of places. With this in mind, Sampdoria, who are hunting for a European place, host Verona on Sunday.

Sampdoria have been in good form this season and they are battling for a Europa League place as it stands. Sampdoria are level on points with AC Milan but above them by virtue of their superior goal difference, and if they can win their game in hand, then their lead will be stretched to three points which could be vital as the battle for the Europea places is incredibly fierce this season.

Verona on the other hand have been very poor this season and they need to start to win their games or they face relegation to the second-division. After 23 games they have won four, drawn four and lost 15, scoring 22 goals and conceding 46 times. In their last five they have won just once, losing their other four games. This has seen Verona onto 16 points, five shy of Crotone and safety, meaning that they must turn their poor form around or they will not stand a chance of surviving.
