Sampdoria chairman Massimo Ferrero has added fuel to speculation linking AC Milan striker Giampaolo Pazzini with a summer return to Marassi.
The 30-year-old is almost certain to leave the Rossoneri when his contract expires at the end of the season, and there will be quite a few Serie A sides ready to sign him on a Bosman deal.
It was believed that former club Sampdoria were also showing interest, and the Blucerchiati president Massimo Ferrero has now confirmed the reports.
“Do I like Pazzini? I’m crazy about Pazzini. It is he who has to think,” Ferrero said on Tiki Taka TV show.
With Sampdoria closing in on European qualification, chances are that the experienced striker would be interested in a return to Genoa in the summer.
Pazzini has seen very little action since joining AC Milan from Inter Milan, starting mere 23 league games in three years at San Siro.
He had previously enjoyed the most successful spell of his career at Sampdoria, where he bagged 36 goals in 75 Serie A outings.
