Sampdoria chairman Massimo Ferrero has moved to confirm that star players Roberto Soriano and Eder will be extending their stay at Marassi.
The duo played a key role in what was a breakthrough season for the Blucerchiati, earning themselves places in the Italy national team in the process.
As expected, Sampdoria received quite a few proposals for their services this summer, but they somehow managed to keep hold of their prized assets.
What is more, both Roberto Soriano and Eder will soon sign new deals with the club, as confirmed by club president Massimo Ferrero.
“In the summer I received many offers for them, even €10m from the UAE but we said no, and in the end there was also ambiguous interest from Inter,” he told Tuttosport.
“At this very moment we are closing the renewals of Eder and Soriano. Today I will be in Genoa and we will announce the agreement.”
Roberto Soriano, 24, has spent his entire career up to date at Marassi, notching 11 goals in 105 league matches.
Eder, 28, joined from Cesena three years ago and went on to score 38 goals in 115 league appearances, and he has been in stunning form this term, netting five times in three Serie A games.
