La Gazzetta dello Sport has learned that Sampdoria have shown interest in Serie A stars Esteban Cambiasso and David Pizarro.
The Marassi outfit are on the lookout for a central midfielder, but do not have a lot of money to spend on new players.
It is for that reason that the Bluecerchiati are looking at Inter’s Esteban Cambiasso and Fiorentina’s David Pizarro.
The Argentine midfielder will be leaving the Nerazzurri when his contract expires in less than two weeks and he would probably jump at the opportunity to remain in Italian Serie A.
Cambiasso, 33, has spent last nine years at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, making a total of 285 Serie A appearances and scoring 39 goals.
Meanwhile, Davide Pizarro’s deal at Fiorentina is set to expire as well, and he has yet to decide whether he will accept a new contact offer.
The Chilean has represented some of world’s top clubs during his career and it appears he still has what it takes to play at the highest level.
