Turin-based daily newspaper Tuttosport is reporting that Sampdoria chairman Massimo Ferrero aims to pair Mario Balotelli and Antonio Cassano at Marassi.
The colourful character has very ambitious plans for the Blucerchiati and he is prepared to invest considerable amount of money into further reinforcing the squad.
According to Tuttosport, Ferrero hopes to lure the bad boys of Italian football Antonio Cassano and Mario Balotelli to Marassi.
The former AS Roma forward has already confirmed he is ready to return to Sampdoria after ending his contract with Parma, but recruiting his international teammate could prove a more difficult task.
Nevertheless, with Liverpool hoping to offload Balotelli and not too many top clubs ready to take the gamble with the controversial forward, the Blucerchiati appear to be leading the chase at the moment.
In spite of a five-match winless run, Sampdoria still occupy Europa League positions and they can be backed at 7/4 to see off Udinese at Friuli.
