Spanish daily newspaper El Mundo Deportivo has suggested that Sampdoria are set to reignite their interest in Atletico Madrid striker Luciano Vietto,
The 23-year-old returned to the club after a somewhat successful loan spell at Sevilla, but he failed to produce a single goal in five La Liga appearances.
And with Diego Costa set to arrive in January, chances are that Vietto will be allowed to leave the club on permanent basis.
According to El Mundo Deportivo, Sampdoria have rekindled their interest in the player after they were unable to reach an agreement with Atletico in the summer.
It remains to be seen though whether los Colchoneros will lower their €20 million asking price, which proved too much for the Serie A outfit.
