Inter striker Samuel Eto’o could join Russian Premier League side Anzhi Makhachkala, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
The representatives of the Russian club will arrive to Italy later today to try and close the deal for the Cameroonian striker.
The free-spending Anzhi are reportedly ready to offer Eto’o a three-year deal worth €20 million per season, with an option of extending the contract for another year.
The club from Makhachkala are prepared to offer Inter €20 million for the Cameroonian, with the fee possibly rising to €30 million.
Eto’o has become unsettled at Inter after Massimo Moratti refused to offer him an improved deal and he has already hinted at a possible departure.
The 30-year-old could jump at the opportunity to join newly rich Anzhi, especially with the contract offer at the table, although it remains to be seen whether he will be prepared to step down from the biggest stage.
