Sanchez eyeing improved Gunners deal

The independent understands that Alexis Sanchez is keen for a wages increase and a release clause to be inserted in any potential new contract offer from Arsenal.

The Chile international, who scored the equaliser in Tuesday evening’s Champions League draw with Paris Saint Germain is currently committed to the North London outfit until the end of next season and a fresh deal is in the offing.

The Gunners signed Sanchez from Barcelona in the summer of 2014 and he has since racked up ninety-seven appearances in all competitions, scoring forty-four goals while he was part of the squad that won the FA Cup in 2015.

He made his one hundredth appearance for his country earlier this month and featured at both the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa and the tournament in Brazil four years later.

Arsenal travel to Hull City on Saturday afternoon and Sanchez is priced at 9/2 to open the scoring.
