Quique Sanchez Flores has been appointed the new coach of UAE Pro-League outfit Al Ahli following Monday’s sacking of Ivan Hasek.
Al Ahli confirmed on their official website that Sanchez Flores would arrive in Dubai on Thursday morning before being unveiled at a press conference later in the day.
Sanchez Flores has previously guided Atletico Madrid to Europa League glory in 2010 and also coached Getafe, Valencia and Benfica.
The Spaniard has been out of a job since leaving the Spanish capital club late last season although he was linked with a move to Spartak Moscow.
Hasek was dismissed on Monday after Al Ahli started the new league season with just one win from their first three games, despite the recruitment of big-name stars Grafite, Luis Jimenez, Jaja Coelho and Youssef Mohamad.
