The Daily Star understands that Manchester City are still the front runners in the race to sign Alexis Sanchez.
Bayern Munich, Paris Saint Germain, Manchester United and Real Madrid are also in the running to sign the Chile international though the Premier League leaders remain favourites to secure his services having missed out on landing him in the summer.
Sanchez netted a stoppage time penalty to secure victory for the Gunners over Burnley on Sunday afternoon, and take his goal tally for the club to seventy-six goals in one hundred fifty-six appearances.
The former Barcelona and Udinese man won his one hundred and nineteenth international cap in a 3-0 defeat to Brazil last month – a result that saw the Chileans miss out on qualification for next summer’s World Cup finals in Russia.
Sunday’s victory took Arsene Wenger’s side back into the top four and they can currently be backed at 1/1 to finish the season in the Champions League qualification places.
