The Daily Mail is reporting that Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez has rejected a new contract proposal from Arsenal.
The highly rated footballer is one of two Gunners stars who will be out of contract in June 2018, together with Mesut Ozil, and the talks over a new deal has not been going according to the plan.
Sanchez reportedly demands a weekly wage of £250,000, whereas Arsenal have now offered him £180,000 per week.
The Gunners still hope they will be able to reach an agreement with the Chilean’s representatives, namely because he is quite happy to stay at the Emirates.
And with Sanchez having been offered a contract worth £400,000 per week by an unnamed Chinese side, his agents have the ace up their sleeve if Arsenal refuse to pay up.
There is no denying that the Chilean is a key member of the side at the Emirates, and he has been in excellent form this season, bagging 12 goals in 16 Premier League outings.
