Sancho set for United reintegration after failed Saudi transfer

Following an obviously difficult period at Manchester United, Jadon Sancho was reportedly close to leaving the club to join Al-Ettifaq on loan for the season. He was open to the idea of making the move to the Middle East, but in the end, the two clubs failed to reach an agreement, apparently falling out over an obligation to buy for £50 million on which United insisted but Al-Ettihad did not accept.

The 23-year-old now finds himself will no choice but to try and get back into contention under United boss Erik ten Hag. To that end, according to Sky Sports, the current international break is being used to hold talks between Sancho and the coaching staff, with all parties committed to getting him back to his best form.

Ten Hag recently fired public criticism at Sancho’s work in training, which in turn prompted the winger to respond by denying the manager’s allegations.

Sancho’s contract at United runs until 2026.
