Bayern Munich have confirmed today that forward Sandro Wagner has completed his transfer to the Chinese Super League side Tianjin Teda.
The two clubs have reached an agreement over a winter transfer deal for the 31-year-old worth around €5 million.
Wagner joined Bayern Munich for €13 million from Hoffenheim a little over a year ago but saw his playing time critically limited under Niko Kovac. The breakthrough of Serge Gnabry and Alphonso Davies and Bayern Munich’s apparent focus on young blood were a clear message to Wagner who is growing increasingly unhappy with his role in the team.
The experienced forward is looking to kick-start his career as he moves to Tianjin Teda, coached by a fellow German Uli Stielike.
Sandro Wagner is said to have given his nod on a lucrative two-year contract worth a whopping €15 million in total.
