Looking to make a mid-season push for the top six, Santos will look to carry on their impressive form when they host a Gremio side known for their struggles on the road.

For Fernando Santos hosts, although it was a slow start to the season for the Whites, Santos have battled back valiantly. Coming off the back of a 3-0 win away to Vasco da Gama, they have now lost just one of their last five and have also won their last three matches at Estádio Urbano Caldeira. One man to watch for the hosts will be 22-year-old forward Gabriel Barbosa. Scoring a hat-trick last weekend, he nows has four in his last three.

As for the visitors, although Gremio are coming off the back of a 4-0 win over Botafogo, Renato Portaluppi’s side have grown a reputation for their struggles away from Arena do Grêmio. Losing 2-1 to Atletico PR in their last match on the road, the visitors have now won just one of their last six matches away from home, a run stemming back to the start of June. It’s also worth noting that the last time Gremio traveled to Estádio Urbano Caldeira they came away on the wrong end of a 1-0 defeat.
