Santos have confirmed they have re-signed Neymar, who has made a stunning return to his boyhood club.
Neymar, who terminated his contract with Al-Hilal earlier this week by mutual consent, announced on Thursday that he would be returning to Santos, and has reportedly signed a six-month deal.
The Brazilian initially joined the club’s academy in 2003 as an 11-year-old, before making his senior debut in 2009 and going on to make 235 appearances for the club in all competitions.
During that time, he scored 136 goals before departing the club to join Barcelona in 2013, going on to win eight major honours, including two LaLiga titles, a Champions League and a FIFA Club World Cup.

He has since played for Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain and Al-Hilal, though he made just seven appearances for the Saudi Pro League club after struggling with injuries.
Neymar now returns to Santos, who won promotion back to the Brazilian Serie A in 2024 after three years in the second tier, 12 years after his departure.
In his first stint, he won the Copa do Brasil, three Campeonato Paulista titles, the Copa Libertadores in 2011 and the Recopa Sudamericana.
