(GSM) – Wednesday’s Copa Libertadores match between Mexican outfit Monterrey and Brazilian side Sao Paulo ended in a goalless draw.
Monterrey desperately needed a win in this match in order to jump into second position in Group 2, while a draw was enough for Sao Paulo to secure their spot in the next round.
The all-Brazilian visitors got exactly what they needed, keeping their opponents away from their goal to grab the point they came for.
On Thursday, Colombian side Once Caldas will have a chance to secure qualification as well if they beat Nacional of Paraguay at home.
