According to a recent report from Sky Italy, the belief is that Maurizio Sarri will only be allowed to join Juventus once a suitable replacement has been found by Chelsea. Sarri had an often controversial tenure at Stamford Bridge last season, but in the midst of all that, he was able to find some success. He got them back into the Champions League via the top four, took them to the League Cup final, and they wound up winning the Europa League. Clearly Juve have taken notice, and are hoping that he could be the man to lead them to their own European glory – but this time, in the Champions League.
Sarri is considered to be one of the most underappreciated managers in world football today, and his return has been cause for debate back in Italy. Following the appointment of Antonio Conte at Inter Milan it certainly seems like there is a cold war developing in Serie A, and Sarri is going to be at the heart of it.
