According to Sky Italia, a breakthrough has been made in the negotiations to bring Maurizio Sarri to Stamford Bridge which could also see Jorginho‘s move to Chelsea being confirmed. The speculation surrounding Sarri & Antonio Conte has been ongoing for months now, with the ex-Napoli boss being expected to take over as the Blues’ new manager. Conte, on the other hand, has made no secret of the fact that he will probably be leaving the London club in search of a new test elsewhere.
As noted it seems as if 26-year-old midfielder Jorginho will be joining Sarri at Chelsea and that both men could be announced as soon as this evening. The deal would see the Italian-Brazilian come over for around £57 million, showcasing Sarri’s sign of intent from the word go. Conte still has twelve months left to run on his contract, and will likely have to be bought out in order to leave.
