Sassuolo close to sealing Obiang

According to a recent report from Sky Italy, Sassuolo are edging closer and closer to securing a deal for Pedro Obiang of West Ham United. They have put forward a bid that is believed to be worth around £8.1 million, as they attempt to lure the 27 year old away from the Hammers after he has spent the last four years of his career there. He is clearly familiar with the way things work over in Italy, as you can tell by the fact that it was Sampdoria he left in order to move to East London in the first place.

Sassuolo are gearing up for one of the biggest seasons in the history of their club, as they continue to go in search of even greater results in Serie A. They need some strength in depth within their ranks, and it goes without saying that Obiang would most certainly fit the bill.
