Italian Serie A side Sassuolo has moved to suggest that Barcelona are among clubs showing interest in Domenico Berardi.
The Italy international has continued with impressive performances after making a permanent switch to Reggio Emilia and Europe’s top clubs continue to cast admiring glances his way.
Juventus appear to be keen on luring the 21-year-old back to Turin, while Barcelona seem to be showing interest as well.
Sassuolo chief Giovanni Carnevali has now ruled out a January exit for the prized asset, while also confirming that he has been scouted by Barcelona.
“I can rule out a January move to Juventus for Berardi,” Carnevali told Tuttosport. “Berardi is fully owned by Sassuolo and the club do not need to sell.
”Ariedo Braida (Barcelona sporting director) has often followed our games.”
Domenico Berardi first helped Sassuolo gain promotion to the elite division before producing some excellent showings in the top flight.
He has scored a total of 33 goals in 67 Serie A appearances, which is an amazing return for the player who usually operates on the wing.
Berardi has yet to earn his first Italy cap, with injury preventing him from representing the Azzurri on a couple of occasions.
