Croatian defender Sime Vrsaljko is in the centre of a three-way race as Napoli, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are vying for the signature of the 24-year-old.
According to Spanish publication El Mundo Deportivo, Sassuolo have confirmed interest from three clubs who have opened negotiations over possible move for the Croatian during summer transfer window.
Sime Vsaljko has had a successful season in Italy as former Dinamo Zagreb and Genoa defender made 35 appearances for his club in the Serie A, displaying some fine performances along the way.
The 24-year-old Croatia international has made three appearances for Croatia during the Euro 2016 qualifying, but is yet to register an appearance at the showpiece tournament in France.
Sassuolo defender is valued at €15 million and Inter appear to have made the most direct approach for the player, although Napoli and Atletico Madrid hold the edge over Roberto Mancini’s side with Champions League football at offer.
