Sassuolo have moved to confirm that Napoli are one of the clubs showing interest in star player Domenico Berardi.
The highly rated footballer has so far resisted temptation to leave his current employers for greener pastures, or better to say the Neroverdi didn’t want to let him leave.
Sassuolo chief Giovanni Carnevali claims that the club are under no pressure to sell, while confirming that Napoli are keen on Berardi.
“He is a very sought after player, not just by Napoli but by other clubs,” Carnevali was quoted as saying.
“However, we were clear with Domenico; we wanted to keep hold of him because he is very important to us and is crucial for the present and future.”
Domenico Berardi, 23, has managed impressive 60 goals and 43 assists in 162 competitive appearances for Sassuolo.
He has been linked with just about any top club in Italy over the last couple of years, but remains at MAPEI Stadium for the time being.
