With Manchester City away featuring in the FIFA Club World Cup, the rest of the Premier League’s elite will be looking to make their own respective statements.

In what promises to be an action-packed schedule from up and down the country, Saturday offers a host of heavyweight affairs.

On a Saturday fixture list that is highlighted by Arsenal’s trip to Anfield, we have taken an in-depth look at some of the best Premier League betting markets that are available.

Saturday, December 23rd

12:30 West Ham vs Manchester United

Putting in a gritty performance last weekend as they snatched a 0-0 stalemate away at historic rivals Liverpool, Manchester United will be desperate to use that display as a platform to build on going forward. However, struggling to find any kind of stability this season and coming under a huge amount of scrutiny, Erik ten Hag’s men have a real battle on their hands to claim another top-four finish.

Breaking a host of unwanted records this year as they came crashing out of the Champions League, the former Ajax boss has seen his squad muster just a single win from any of their previous six appearances across all competitions.

Failing to collect back-to-back victories over the past month, Manchester United have also shown some extended issues in the final third.

Including an infamous 3-0 drumming at home against Manchester United on December 9th, ten Hag’s side have drawn a blank in all of their last three outings on the bounce.

On the flip side, crashing out of the EFL Cup in midweek thanks to an embarrassing 5-1 drumming against Liverpool, West Ham have also shown their own extended inconsistencies on either side of November’s international break.

However, punching their Europa League knockout stage ticket earlier in the month, David Moyes’ men will be excited to make a return to home soil here.

Claiming a crucial 3-0 victory against Wolves last weekend, the Hammers have collected 16 points from their previous six showdowns at the London Stadium across all formats.

Likewise, landing a 1-0 win when they last welcomed United to east London back on may 7th, West Ham will be desperate for a repeat performance on Saturday lunchtime.

West Ham vs Manchester United Best Betting Markets:

  • Manchester United win @ 13/8 with 1xBet
  • Edson Alvarez to be shown a card @ 21/20 with BetUS
  • Bruno Fernandes over 0.5 shots on target @ 1/2 with Pribet

15:00 Tottenham vs Everton

While Tottenham might have opened December in the midst of a real Premier League struggle, Spurs have certainly claimed a real boost over the past fortnight. Clearly enjoying life since appointing Ange Postecoglu over the summer, Saturday’s hosts are now tipped as a leading contender to book a welcomed top-four returning in the New Year.

Last seen putting in a routine performance as they secured a 2-0 victory against Nottingham Forest, the former Celtic boss should find the mood in his camp at a continued high.

Making a real statement on December 10th as they stormed their way to a 4-1 romp against Newcastle, Tottenham have now secured back-to-back Premier League wins since the end of October.

Although the Lilywhites might still be seeking some defensive stability, Spurs will be excited by a rugged record against Everton.

In fact, Postecoglu’s side have suffered just a single Premier League defeat since way back in December 2012.

However, although Everton might have seen their EFL Cup adventure come to an abrupt end against Fulham earlier in the week, Sean Dyche’s men are enjoying a remarkable top-flight flurry.

Despite being handed a hugely controversial 10-point deduction last month, the ex-Burnley boss has seen his high-flying squad win all of their previous four Premier League appearances on the spin.

Skyrocketing their way out of the drop zone and enjoying their most successful spell in recent memory, Everton will be relishing a trip to north London on Saturday afternoon.

Tottenham vs Everton Best Betting Markets:

  • Dejan Kulusevski to score anytime @ 7/2 with Olympusbet
  • Dwight McNeil to have over 0.5 shots on target @ 3/5 with Dachbet
  • Cristian Romero to be shown a card @ 21/20 with Luckster

17:30 Liverpool vs Arsenal

Managing to make an immediate return to winning ways last weekend as they secured a routine 2-0 victory against Brighton, Arsenal will be desperate to make a major statement of intent here. Currently holding a one-point buffer at the top of the Premier League table, Arsenal have quickly emerged as a leading contender to get their hands on a first domestic crown since back in 2004.

Suffering just a pair of defeats from their opening 17 Premier League appearances this season, Mikel Arteta’s men also cruised their way to the Champions League knockout stage without breaking much of a sweat.

However, although the Gunners might have continued to gain a string of plaudits from across the continent, Arsenal have shown some recent issues away from the Emirates.

Crashing out of the EFL Cup on November 1st thanks to a 3-1 loss at the hands of London rivals West Ham, Saturday’s guests have won just a pair of their previous six showdowns on the road across all competitions.

While Liverpool might have shockingly missed out on the chance to claim a crucial Champions League ticket last season, the Reds have come roaring back this time around.

Punching their EFL Cup semi-final ticket earlier in the week as they stormed their way to a 5-1 romp against West Ham, Jurgen Klopp’s men now have their sights firmly set on mounting a genuine title charge in the New Year.

Sat just a single point adrift of Arsenal and climbing to the top of the Premier League table, some around Anfield will be smelling the chance to make another statement of intent.

With attacking talisman Mohamed Salah firing on all cylinders and yet to suffer a single home defeat since opening up the 2023/24 campaign, we could be treated to another Premier League thriller on Saturday evening.

Liverpool vs Arsenal Best Betting Markets:

  • Both teams to score @ 7/10 with Vegas Land
  • Mohamed Salah to have over 0.5 shots on target @ 4/11 with Olympusbet
  • Ben White to be shown a card @ 3/1 with BetUS
