With another heavyweight Premier League fixture list this weekend, we have a string of intriguing affairs from up and down the country.

On a Saturday afternoon when Manchester City are desperate to make up some ground in the title chase, we also have some season-defining showdowns at the foot of the table.

Now in the midst of a rollercoaster festive schedule, we have taken an in-depth look at some of Saturday’s best Premier League betting markets.

Saturday, December 16th

15:00 Manchester City vs Crystal Palace

Managing to make what was a crucial return to winning ways as they eventually mounted a comeback away at relegation scrappers Luton, Manchester City will be desperate to produce a far more routine performance on Saturday afternoon. Breezing their way to the Champions League knockout stage without breaking much of a sweat, Pep Guardiola’s men should be smelling a golden opportunity when they return to the Etihad this weekend.

Drawing a line under their remarkable four-match Premier League winless run and recording a first domestic victory since the start of November, the Sky Blues are now seeking some much-needed stability.

Expected to once again be without attacking talisman Erling Haaland here, the former Barcelona boss will know that his side can not afford any more public slip-ups.

Making real history last season as they became the first English club since 1999 to be crowned treble champions, Man City will now be looking to cash in on a Crystal Palace squad who are at the heart of a major struggle.

Suffering a dramatic last-gasp collapse at home against Liverpool last weekend as they eventually slumped to a 2-1 loss in south London, it is no secret that Roy Hodgson has a huge amount of pressure on his shoulders.

Almost sat in Premier League limbo, the one-time England boss has seen his downbeat squad muster just a single victory from any of their previous nine straight appearances.

With that extended rut stemming all the way back to a shock 1-0 win away at Old Trafford on September 30th, the Eagles really couldn’t have wished for a sterner examination when they return to Manchester on Saturday afternoon.

Manchester City vs Crystal Palace Best Betting Markets:

  • Bernardo Silva to have over 0.5 shots on target @ 5/6 with 1xBet
  • Jefferson Lerma to be shown a card @ 2/1 with BetUS
  • Over 1.5 goals in the second half @ 17/20 with Pribet

15:00 Bournemouth vs Luton

While Bournemouth might have opened up the 2023/24 campaign in the midst of a real struggle, the Cherries have come roaring back in some fashion. Only continuing to shine on either side of November’s international break and skyrocket themselves away from a looming relegation scrap, Saturday’s hosts will certainly be looking to make another statement of intent here.

Putting in a famous performance last weekend as they stormed their way to a 3-0 romp against Manchester United and also landing a maiden victory at Old Trafford, Andoni Iraola’s side should find the mood in their camp at a red-hot high.

In fact, Bournemouth have now collected 13 points from their previous five Premier League appearances and they have also found a major clinical edge in the final third.

Heading into November’s international break with a 2-0 victory at home against Champions League outfit Newcastle, the Cherries have bagged 12 strikes on their five-match purple patch.

On the flip side, while Luton might have continued to receive a string of plaudits since making a famous Premier League return this season, Saturday’s guests have suffered some devastating heartbreak since opening December.

Suffering a pair of collapses as they eventually slumped to respective defeats against Manchester City and Arsenal, Rob Edwards’ side are tipped as a leading bottom-three candidate in 2024.

Losing their previous three top-flight showdowns by an aggregate score of 9-5, Luton have also secured just a single victory since the end of September.

Bournemouth vs Luton Best Betting Markets:

  • Bournemouth win & Both teams to score @ 12/5 with Olympusbet
  • Dominic Solanke to score anytime @ 11/8 with Dachbet
  • Marvelous Nakamba to be show a card @ 2/1 with Luckster

17:30 Burnley vs Everton

Although Everton might have been left furious last month as they were hit with an infamous 10-point deduction, Sean Dyche’s side have only continued on a stunning flurry. Putting all of their off-field issues to one side and skyrocketing their way out of the relegation zone, the Toffees are riding a major wave of momentum and they should be relishing a trip to Lancashire this weekend.

With the ex-Burnley boss looking to get one over on his former club here, Everton have now won each of their previous three Premier League appearances by an aggregate score of 6-0.

Last seen putting in another stellar performance as they secured a 2-0 victory against Premier League giants Chelsea, the Blues have suffered just a single loss from their last eight showdowns across all competitions.

With that rampant run of form stemming all the way back to October 21st, Dyche’s side have also not shipped a single goal in over 280 minutes of action.

While Burnley might have eventually clung to a 1-1 stalemate away at Europa League dreamers Brighton last weekend, Vincent Kompany’s side have struggled to find any kind of stability since making their Premier League return this season.

Already sat firmly in the drop zone and chasing a five-point deficit, the Clarets have just one win to their name from any of their previous 10 meetings against Premier League opposition.

Crashing out of the EFL Cup thanks to a 3-0 drumming when they travelled to Goodison Park back on November 1st, the one-time Manchester City skipper will be more than aware that he faces another stern examination here.

Likewise, losing seven of their first eight battles at Turf Moor, Kompnay’s side have also gained a reputation for some rather glaring defensive issues.

Burnley vs Everton Best Betting Markets:

  • Everton win @ 6/5 with Vegas Land
  • Abdoulaye Doucoure to have over 0.5 shots on target @ 19/20 with Olympusbet
  • Idrissa Gueye to be shown a card @ 14/5 with BetUS
