With the Premier League making its return from October’s international break this weekend, all of England’s elite will be looking to lay down their own respective markers.

Watching the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool all feature in what is a stacked Premier League schedule, we have found some of the most intriguing betting markets that are available.

Saturday, October 22nd

12:30 Liverpool vs Everton

While Liverpool might have eventually fallen short in their bid to claim a Champions League ticket, Jurgen Klopp’s side have certainly made a string of improvements since returning from the summer break. Mustering just a single Premier League defeat since opening up the 2023/24 campaign and with some around Anfield dreaming of the chance to mount a genuine title charge this time around, Saturday’s hosts should be relishing a return to action here.

However, last seen heading into October’s international break with an action-packed 2-2 draw against Brighton, the former Borussia Dortmund boss will be calling on his squad to lay down a major marker this weekend.

Extending on their EFL Cup adventure on September 27th as they claimed a 3-1 romp against Championship high-flyers Leicester, the Reds will be calling on attacking talisman Mohamed Salah to spearhead their charge.

Including a brace away at Brighton last time out, the Egyptian superstar has now bagged five goals in his opening eight Premier League appearances this season.

On the flip side, while Everton might travel across Stanley Park this weekend tipped as a landslide underdog, Sean Dyche’s side had shown some signs of a fight prior to October’s international interval.

Heading into the fortnight break with a season-best performance as they claimed a 3-0 romp against Bournemouth, the former Burnley boss has seen his side win three of their previous four contests against Premier League opposition.

However, slumping to a 2-0 defeat when they last met their bitter Merseyside rivals back on February 13th, it is worth highlighting that the Blues have recorded just a single win against Liverpool since way back in October 2010.

Liverpool vs Everton Best Betting Markets:

  • Liverpool win @ 4/11 with 1xBet
  • Mohamed Salah to score anytime @ 21/20 with BetUS
  • Ashley Young to be shown a card @ 14/5 with Pribet

15:00 Manchester City vs Brighton

While Manchester City might have made real history last season as they became the first English club since 1999 to be crowned treble champions, Pep Guardiola’s side do mark their return this weekend seeking a much-welcomed boost. Although the Sky Blues might still be seen as a leading contender to defend their Premier League crown, Saturday’s hosts can’t afford any more public slip-ups.

Last seen heading into October’s international break with late heartbreak away at title rivals Arsenal as they eventually slumped to a 1-0 defeat in north London, the ex-Barcelona boss has remarkably seen his superstar squad lose each of their previous three meetings against Premier League opposition.

Although Guardiola’s men might have got their Champions League adventure underway with back-to-back victories against RB Leipzig and Red Star Belgrade, City are desperate to claim a domestic response here.

Crashing out of the EFL Cup following a 1-0 loss at the hands of Newcastle last month, the Sky Blues will be excited to make a return to the Etihad this weekend.

Although Brighton might have eventually snatched a lively 2-2 draw at home against Liverpool last time out, it is fair to say that the Seagulls are struggling to find top gear with much fluidity.

Signing off September with an infamous 6-1 drumming away at Aston Villa, the Seagulls have claimed just a single win from any of their previous six appearances across all competitions.

Likewise, failing to win any of their opening two Europa League showdowns this season and putting just a sole point on the board, Roberto De Zerbi’s side have quickly gained a reputation for their extended defensive struggles.

Manchester City vs Brighton Best Betting Markets:

  • Manchester City win @ 1/2 with Olympusbet
  • Julian Alvarez to have over 0.5 shots on target @ 8/15 with Dachbet
  • Joel Veltman to be shown a card @ 10/3 with Luckster

17:30 Chelsea vs Arsenal

Heading into October’s international break with a stunning performance on home soil as they claimed a 1-0 victory against defending champions Manchester City, Arsenal will be desperate to lay down another heavyweight marker in Saturday evening. With just their goal difference keeping them off the top of the Premier League table, Mikel Arteta finds the mood in his camp at a red-hot high.

Although the Gunners might have eventually fallen short in their bid to claim a first domestic crown since 2004 last season, Arsenal have come flying out of the traps this time around.

One of just two Premier League sides that are yet to suffer a single defeat since opening up the 2023/24 campaign, Arteta’s side will also be excited by a rampant record against their London rivals.

Including a thumping 3-1 victory when they welcomed Chelsea to the Emirates back on May 2nd, Arsenal have won each of their last four meetings by an aggregate score of 12-3.

While Chelsea might have shown a string of worrying issues since opening up the new campaign, it appeared that Mauricio Pochettino’s side had turned a real corner prior to October’s international break.

Heading into the fortnight interval with a stellar 4-1 romp away at top-flight returners Burnley, the former Tottenham boss has seen his squad win each of their previous three meetings against Premier League opposition.

Enjoying their brightest run in recent memory, Chelsea will be more than aware that they face their toughest test to date under Pochettino when the title contenders arrive at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

Chelsea vs Arsenal Best Betting Markets:

  • Arsenal draw no bet @ 8/11 with Vegas Land
  • Both teams to score @ 17/20 with Olympusbet
  • Moises Caicedo to be shown a card @ 21/10 with BetUS
