Saturday’s European Accumulator: 7/1 Special & Betting Tips – March 1st

While the Premier League title chase might be all but decided, the rest of Europe’s elite face some nervy battles heading into the final few months.

Alongside fixtures from the likes of Serie A and the Bundesliga, Spanish giants Real Madrid will have their sights firmly set on finding a route back to the top of the La Liga standings.

Ahead of a stacked Saturday schedule from across the continent, we have taken a look at some of the most appealing European betting tips that are available.

Saturday, March 1st

BST 12:30 Birmingham City vs Wycombe Wanderers

While Birmingham might have lost their Championship status with a real whimper last season, it is no secret that the Blues are pencilled in as a landslide contender to make an immediate second-tier return.

Putting in another dominant display earlier in the week as they secured a 2-0 victory against fellow high-flyers Leyton Orient, Chris Davies’ men are riding a major wave of momentum.

Leading the chase at the top of the League One table and holding a commanding nine-point buffer over Saturday’s guests, Birmingham will simply be looking to lay down another marker here.

Extending on their EFL Trophy adventure on February 18th as they secured a 2-1 win against Bradford City, the Blues have not suffered a single League One defeat since the end of November.

It should also be noted, Birmingham have won all of their previous five consecutive League One showdowns at St. Andrews by an aggregate score of 10-1.

While Wycombe might open Saturday’s trip to the Midlands remarkably sat in the automatic promotion spots, Saturday’s guests are desperately seeking some recent stability.

Forced to settle for a 0-0 stalemate at home against Wigan last weekend, the Chairboys have recorded just a single victory from any of their previous five appearances across all competitions.

Suffering penalties heartbreak away at Championship outfit Preston earlier in the month as they watched their FA Cup adventure come to an end, Mike Dodds’ side have failed to muster consecutive League One victories since the end of November.

Landing just a sole win from any of their last five showdowns away from Adams Park, the former Sunderland coach will be bracing himself for a heavyweight challenge on Saturday lunchtime.

17:30 Real Betis vs Real Madrid

Although Real Madrid might have got February underway with a shock 1-0 loss at the hands of relegation scrappers Espanyol, Los Blancos have proven that downbeat display in Catalonia was just a minor blip.

Opening Saturday’s showdown with just their goal difference keeping them off top spot in the La Liga table, Carlo Ancelotti’s men will be looking to dethrone Barcelona here.

Picking up a Copa del Rey adventure earlier in the week as they clinched a 1-0 victory away at Real Sociedad, the former AC Milan boss has seen his squad win each of their previous three appearances across all competitions.

Extending on their Champions League adventure on February 19th as they claimed a thumping 6-3 aggregate win against Manchester City, Madrid have their sights set on completing another sensational European and domestic double in 2025.

Landing a 2-0 victory when they welcomed Saturday’s hosts to the Spanish capital on September 1st, Los Blancos will be seeking a repeat performance here.

Appearing to have turned somewhat of a recent corner over the past fortnight and winning three of their previous four appearances across all competitions, Real Betis will be desperate to collect a heavyweight scalp on home soil.

However, winning just a quartet of their last 14 matchups across all fronts, Manuel Pellegrini’s men have also gained a reputation for their glaring issues on home soil.

Including a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Alaves on January 18th, the former Manchester City boss has seen his squad muster just a sole victory from any of their previous six La Liga showdowns in Andalusia.

Winless in all of their last nine meetings against the defending champions, Pellegrini’s men will be bracing themselves for a stern examination on Saturday evening.

19:45 Udinese vs Parma

While Udinese might have only just clung to their Serie A status last season as they dragged themselves over the finishing line, Saturday’s hosts have come roaring back in an eye-catching fashion this time around.

Opening this weekend’s fixtures battling it out in the top-half of the table, Kosta Runjaic’s side have continued to receive a string of plaudits from across Italy’s elite.

Last seen putting in another gritty performance as they clinched a 1-0 win away at Lecce, it appears that the mood around the Bluenergy Stadium is at a real high.

Getting February underway with an action-packed 3-2 victory against Venezia, Udinese have collected 10 points from their previous four Serie A appearances.

Snatching a point away at title contenders Napoli earlier in the month, it should also be highlighted that Runjaic’s men have recorded consecutive Serie A wins in front of their own supporters.

Making what was a crucial return to winning ways last weekend as they secured a 2-0 victory at home against Bologna, Parma are desperate to use that performance as a platform to build on.

However, at the heart of a relegation scrap and opening Saturday’s fixtures holding just a two-point buffer from slipping into the drop zone, the Crusaders have claimed just a sole win from any of their eight appearances since returning from Italy’s festive break.

Likewise, losing all of their last three showdowns away from the Stadio Ennio Tardini by an aggregate score of 6-3, Parma have shown some glaring issues on their travels.

In fact, Parma have registered just a single point from any of their previous six appearances outside of Emilia-Romagna – a rut that stems back to November 9th.
