With all of England’s elite looking to sign off 2023 with their own respective statements, we certainly have a heavyweight Premier League schedule throughout Saturday.

As defending champions Manchester City look to make up some ground in this season’s title scrap, the likes of Luton and Nottingham Forest will be looking to extend on their charge for top-flight safety.

Ahead of a stacked Saturday fixture list, we have taken an in-depth look at some of the best available Premier League betting markets.

Saturday, December 30th

15:00 Manchester City vs Sheffield United

Marking their Premier League return with a crucial 3-1 victory away at relegation scrappers Everton on Wednesday night, Manchester City will now be hoping to find some essential top-flight stability in the New Year. However, crowned as FIFA Club World Cup champions out in the Middle East last week, Pep Guardiola’s men have handed themselves a major platform to build on.

While the Sky Blues might have settled for respective stalemates against Crystal Palace and Tottenham in their last two appearances on home soil, Guardiola’s side have continued to shine at the Etihad this year.

In fact, Man City have not suffered a single Premier League defeat in front of their own supporters throughout 2023.

With World Cup winner Julian Alvarez continuing to shine in the absence of attacking talisman Erling Haaland, Guardiola’s men will undeniably be smelling a golden opportunity when they return to the Etihad on Saturday afternoon.

Suffering an infamous collapse at Bramall Lane on Boxing Day as they eventually suffered a 3-2 defeat against fellow relegation scrappers Luton, Sheffield United are rightfully tipped as a landslide contender to be hit with an immediate Championship return.

Needing what is a major Premier League miracle in the New Year, Chris Wilder’s men sit rock-bottom of the table after collecting just nine points from their first 19 top-flight appearances.

With just a pair of Premier League victories to their name and already shipping a staggering 47 strikes so far this season, Sheffield United certainly couldn’t have asked for a tougher challenge at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon.

Two sides firmly scrapping it out at opposite ends of the table, it is almost impossible to picture a famous upset here.

Manchester City vs Sheffield United Best Betting Markets:

  • Manchester City win to nil @ 4/6 with 1xBet
  • Julian Alvarez to score anytime @ 1/1 with BetUS
  • Jack Robinson to be shown a card @ 3/1 with Pribet

15:00 Aston Villa vs Burnley

Suffering an infamous collapse at Old Trafford earlier in the week and eventually falling to a 3-2 defeat, Aston Villa are certainly seeking an immediate response here. However, while Unai Emery’s men might have now mustered just a single win from any of their previous four appearances across all competitions, Saturday’s hosts have continued to receive a string of plaudits this season and are still enjoying a major Premier League romp.

Mustering 39 points from their first 19 top-flight appearances and breaking a string of domestic records this year, the former Arsenal boss will be excited to make a return to Villa Park this weekend.

Although Villa might have eventually been forced to settle for a 1-1 stalemate against Sheffield United in their last showdown on home soil, Emery’s men are unbeaten in all of their previous 16 straight showdowns in the Midlands.

With their sights firmly set on clinching a famous Champions League ticket in the New Year, Saturday’s hosts will certainly be smelling a golden opportunity here.

Slumping to a 2-0 loss at home against title contenders Liverpool on Boxing Day, Burnley find themselves at the heart of a real Premier League struggle this season.

Firmly sat in the drop zone and tipped as a landslide contender to be hit with an immediate Championship return in the New Year, Vincent Kompany’s men have also claimed just a pair of wins from any of their first 19 Premier League appearances this season.

Hit with a 3-1 drumming when they last met Aston Villa back on August 27th, Burnley should be bracing themselves for another stern examination in the Midlands.

Aston Villa vs Burnley Best Betting Markets:

  • Ollie Watkins to score anytime @ 1/1 with Olympusbet
  • Sander Berge to be shown a card @ 4/1 with Dachbet
  • John McGinn over 0.5 shots on target @ 10/11 with Luckster

17:30 Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United

Mounting a stunning comeback at home against Aston Villa on Boxing Day as they eventually claimed that pulsating 3-2 victory, Manchester United will be desperate to use that second half performance as a platform to build on. Failing to collect back-to-back victories across any competition over the past month, it is no secret that Erik ten Hag still has plenty of pressure on his shoulders at Old Trafford.

Crashing out of the Champions League earlier in the month and breaking a string of unwanted European records, the Premier League heavyweights also face a major uphill battle in their bid to claim another top-four finish.

Winning just a pair of their previous eight appearances across all formats, the former Ajax boss also has a continued headache over his side’s extended defensive issues.

Aside from a 0-0 stalemate against historic rivals Liverpool on December 17th, that is the only clean sheet that Manchester United have recorded from their last eight outings.

On the flip side, mounting their own stellar respective comeback away at Newcastle on Boxing Day as they secured a 3-1 romp at St. James’ Park, Nuno Espirito Santo will be desperate to spring another heavyweight upset here.

However, although Nottingham Forest might have drew a line under their seven-match nightmare blip earlier in the week, the former Wolves boss still has a major job on his hands at the City Ground.

Still looking over their shoulder at a looming relegation scrap, Forest have also gained a reputation for their extended issues on home soil.

Including a 3-2 loss at the hands of Bournemouth on December 23rd, it is worth highlighting that Saturday’s hosts have lost all of their last four showdowns in front of their own supporters by an aggregate score of 9-4.

Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United Best Betting Markets:

  • Over 1.5 second half goals @ 19/20 with Vegas Land
  • Bruno Fernandes to be shown a card @ 3/1 with Olympusbet
  • Chris Wood over 0.5 shots on target @ 3/5 with BetUS
