Saul rules out Real move

Speaking to Cadena SER, Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez has ruled out any possibility of a move to Real Madrid.

Saul has become a part of the core of the new Spanish national team, one that will do their best to emulate the successes of the era marked in midfield by the likes of Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta and Xabi Alonso. His talent has already sparked numerous rumours linking him with a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano, but the 23-year-old has drawn the line as far as moving to Atletico’s city rivals goes.

He revealed that his current deal runs all the way to year 2026, and that he signed it knowing what he had at the club and feeling happy where he was. He also said he couldn’t make any promises regarding his future as it doesn’t depend on him alone, but a move to Santiago Bernabeu is unthinkable, almost impossible to him at this point.
