Argentinian forward Javier Saviola, who hasn’t been given much time on the pitch by Real Madrid, applied pressure on the club saying that “he wants to play, whether it is there or somewhere else”.
The striker spoke at a press conference ahead of Thursday’s training session, and explained his wishes. “What I want, is to play. And if that is here, I’d be very happy. If not, I’d love to do it elsewhere and have the possibility to show my football.
“It’s difficult. If you spend so much time without playing it’s complicated to me, who loves football so much.”
Saviola joined FC Barcelona from River Plate in 2001. After three years at the Catalan side, he was loaned out to first AS Monaco and then Sevilla. In 2007, he signed a deal with Madrid.
