Saviola’s agent coy on transfer talk

The agent of Benfica striker Javier Saviola has revealed that his client is unlikely to leave the club in January.

The Argentine striker has lost his starting place at La Luz and is reportedly looking to leave in search of first team football.

Saviola has a long list of suitors, but his agent refuses to comment on the transfer speculation.

“The player is under contract with Benfica and I will not comment on whether he will stay or leave,” Diego Queiruga told Renascenca.

“There is a contract and the player has to respect it. Do Saviola want out? You have to ask him.

”I can only say that he has a contract with Benfica and will have to respect it.”
