Schalke 04 sign Romanian winger Deac

Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 have completed the signing of Romanian winger Ciprian Deac from CFR Cluj Napoca. The 24 year has switched clubs for a fee of €3m and has signed a three year contract with the Royal Blues.

Schalke boss Felix Magath initially wanted to sign Wolfsburg’s Zvjezdan Misimovic, but turned his attention to Deac when it became clear they could not bring Misimovic to the Veltins Arena this summer.

Deac is a versatile winger ( both on the left and the right flanks) who can also operate as a playmaker.

Deac joined Cluj from Unirea Dej in 2006. He has had a loan spell at Otelul Galati.
