Both Schalke and Galatasaray have entered negotiations with Wolfsburg in an effort to sign creative midfielder Zvjezdan Misimovic.
With Brazilian Diego set to join the Wolves from Juventus, Misimovic will probably be allowed to leave and that is likely to spark a tug of war between Schalke and Galatasaray.
The asking price is thought to be somewhere between 8 and 10 million euros and that shouldn’t be a problem for either of the interested clubs.
Schalke boss Felix Magath has already opened negotiations with the player’s agent, Fali Ramadani and it looks as though he’s gained the upper hand over Frank Rijkaard.
Galatasaray is also ready to match the asking price but as of now everything depends on whether Diego’s proposed transfer will go through.
