Metro understands that Bundesliga side Schalke are set to complete the signing of Polish goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski from Arsenal.
The Miners have been looking to sign a new shot-stopper to provide competition for the talented Ralf Fahrmann and they seem to have found their man.
According to Metro, Schalke are hoping to recruit Arsenal keeper Lukasz Fabianski on a free transfer in the summer transfer window.
The Veltins Arena outfit have been in talks with the player’s representatives, offering him a pay rise to make a switch to Gelsenkirchen.
Fabianski will be out of contract at the end of the season and having rejected a new deal at the Emirates, he is free to talk to interested clubs about a Bosmal deal.
Despite not seeing plenty of action of late, the 28-year-old has impressed every time he was called upon and chances are he will relish the opportunity to earn regular playing time.
