Bundesliga outfit Schalke have emerged as odds on favourites to sign Armenia Bielefeld striker Roberto Massimo, according to Sport Bild.
The 17-year-old was recently promoted to the first team set-up after impressing in the Under-19 squad, but he has yet to be handed his league debut.
Nonetheless, Massimo’s promising showings did not go unnoticed as he has emerged as a top target for Schalke.
The Miners plan to initially add the youngster to their own Under-19 squad before giving him a chance to shine in German Bundesliga.
Despite being born in Ghana, Massimo holds an Italian passport, and he scored 3 goals in 10 appearances for Armenia U19 side this season.
