Bundesliga giants Schalke are weighing up late bid for Stuttgart winger Filip Kostic, according to Bild.
The Miners are under no pressure to sign new players at the moment, but everything could change if they reach an agreement with Juventus for the sale of Julian Draxler.
If that happens, Schalke will have no choice but to recruit another attacking midfielder and the latest reports suggest that Filip Kostic has emerged as their primary target.
The Serbian winger was one of club’s star performers last season, having managed 3 goals and 5 assists in just 15 Bundesliga starts.
It is believed that Schalke would be ready to pay around €12 million for the 22-year-old, who would get a five-year contract at Veltins Arena.
But, as we have already mentioned, everything will depend on whether starlet Julian Draxler leaves the Miners for Juventus in the final days of the summer transfer window.
