Schalke are looking to sign Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan, according to the Telegraph.
The Bundesliga outfit are the latest European side to be linked with a move for the England international though the Blues may yet decide to keep hold of him, after he came on as a substitute in Saturday’s win over Huddersfield Town.
He spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace where he played twenty-five times, scoring twice.
With Tiemoue Bakayoko’s expected move to AC Milan close, Loftus-Cheek’s chances of featuring under Maurizio Sarri are set to increase and he is pushing to start in Saturday’s match against Arsenal.
In total, he has played thirty-three times for the Blues, scoring twice while he has been capped eight times for his country, with half of those appearances coming at this summer’s World Cup finals in Russia.
Chelsea are priced at 4/5 to beat the Gunners at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
