Sevilla searching for Fabiano replacement
With Luis Fabiano’s move to Marseille entering the closing stages, Sevilla are forced to start the search for his successor.
The La Liga outfit has been linked with quite a few strikers during the last few weeks but it seems they don’t have sufficient funds to lure a world-class striker to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
At the moment, Luis Suarez, Oscar Cardozo and Edin Dzeko are too expensive, which means los Rojiblancos will have to make do with some cheaper options.
According to the latest reports from Spain, Loic Remy is the number one target for general manager Ramon Rodriguez Verdejo Mochi as the promising striker is looking to leave Nice and would be available for around 15 million euros.
The Spanish side will, however, face a stern competition for the Ligue 1 hotshot but if they fail to sign him, Sevilla have back-up options.
Twente’s Bryan Ruiz and Lorient’s Kevin Gameiro would be much easier to sign and it now remains to be seen how things will go with Remy.
The aforementioned possible targets all have a very good potential but they would face a tough task of filling the shoes of players like Luis Fabiano should they move to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Schalke linked to Huntelaar
According to reports from Germany, Schalke have expressed their interest in signing Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
The Dutch forward has been disillusioned with life at San Siro and is looking to leave Milan, should the right offer come in.
He had also been linked to Benfica and Werder but is now much closer to Gelsenkirchen. After seeing Kevin Kuranyi leave for Dinamo Moscow, the club are eager to sign a forward to link up with Raul and they see ‘The Hunter’ as the perfect fit.
Should the transfer materialize, it would be quite a coup for both the club and the player as the Dutchman would finally get the chance to show what he’s got and I have no doubts the team would profit a great deal from Huntelaar’s consistent run in the side.

Bob Bradley could be leaving the national team
United States were defeated by Brazil in a friendly game last evening and many wonder if that was Bob Bradley’s last game as the national team coach.
Before the game, Bradley was asked if he wondered whether this would be his last game as US coach.
“No, I don’t think in those terms,” he said before the game. “You think about the game and the guys we have here and what we need to do well. You don’t usually get caught up with anything else.”
His four-year contract is set to expire at the end of the year and there have been some discussions with the national team officials about renewing it.
Bradley also seems to be in the running for the position of Aston Villa manager after Martin O’Neill walked away from the post.
With Aston Villa owned by American Randy Lerner, keeper Villa and US keeper Brad Guzan feels Lerner could be open to hiring an American coach.
“I think it’s certainly a possibility. What Bob’s done with our team, with last year’s Confederations Cup and the World Cup and in MLS, his record is very good,” Guzan said.
“You see his past history, and it’s been solid. It’s a testament to what’s going on here in the US … That’s what happens when you’re a good manager. When you’re at that level, you put in good performances, it’s going to go noticed by big clubs.”
