According to a recent report from Bild, Schalke have cut the asking price for defender Ozan Kabak ahead of the January transfer window.
In the hunt for a new centre back after Virgil van Dijk’s recent injury, Liverpool have turned their attention towards the Schalke youngster. He is believed to have a £40 million release clause in his contract that could be activated next summer, but due to the financial impact that the pandemic has had, they’ve decided to cut that fee by more than half.
They would now be asking for just £18 million and, ironically enough, AC Milan made a bid of that amount during the summer – only for Schalke to refer them to the release clause.
The Reds are now known for being one of the best teams in both European and world football and because of that reputation, there are very few players they wouldn’t be able to sign.
