Bundesliga outfit Schalke 04 have reportedly stepped up their interest in Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina with a €23 million offer.
Sport.de has earlier reported of Schalke’s interest for the 22-year-old Gabon international while rumour now has it that Schalke made an official offer in attempt to land the highly sought-after starlet.
Lemina is targeted by Real Betis and Watford, but Bundesliga club is keen to meet Juventus’ expectations and pay more than what the Old Lady are hoping to get for the midfielder.
Serie A champions have reportedly set an asking price worth €20 million, while the Gelsenkirchen club are willing to pay an extra three million to land the central midfielder during the summer transfer window.
Mario Lemina joined Juventus last August on loan from Marseille, but his deal was made permanent in April as he signed a four-year contract with the Turin giants.
Gabonese footballer is however choked by competition and is struggling to move up the pecking order after completing only 10 Serie A appearances last season.
