German newspaper Bild claims that Schalke are ready to offer star player Leon Goretzka a yearly salary of €12 million.
The highly rated footballer will be out of contract in June and he reportedly has offers from Barcelona, Arsenal, Juventus, Tottenham and few other top clubs.
Goretzka believes the time is right for him to leave for green pastures, but Schalke seem ready to make one final attempt to persuade him to stay.
According to Bild, Schalke are readying a new contract worth €12 million per season that would also contain a release clause in the region of €50 million.
Goretzka’s family and friends reside in the Ruhr area and the Miners hope their star player would consider staying on for one more year at least.
