German media outlet Bild understands that Bundesliga outfit Schalke are hot on the trail of AS Roma midfielder Leandro Paredes.
Following several disappointing seasons, the Miners are determined to return to the right track and after splashing out on Breel Embolo, they are readying another big money offer.
Namely, Schalke manager Christian Heidel has set his sights of AS Roma starlet Leandro Paredes and he is keen on bringing him to Veltins Arena this summer.
It is believed that Zenit have offered €20 million for the talented footballer, meaning the Miners will have to match said bid if they want to win the chase for the youngster’s services.
The 22-year-old has enjoyed a successful loan spell with Empoli, making 33 league appearances and scoring 2 goals, and while he is predicted a bright future in the game, the youngster has yet to prove he has what it takes to perform at the biggest stage.
