Schalke seal permanent Bentaleb deal

Bundesliga side Schalke and Algeria international Nabil Bentaleb have endured a difficult start to the new season in Germany and plenty of questions were raised as to whether the Tottenham Hotspur loanee would prove to be a success with his new club.

Spurs’ midfielder has however managed to convince his critics with a string of compelling displays, which have also earned him a permanent deal with the Gelsenkirchen club.

According to reports from the Algerian media, Bentaleb has agreed on a 4-year contract with Schalke, who paid the agreed fee of €19 million to take the 21-year-old on permanent basis.

Despite his slower start to the season, Nabil Bentaleb was quick to become one of the most important players for Schalke this season playing huge part in his team’s 4 wins in their last 5 Bundesliga games.

Bentaleb scored a brace in an impressive 3-0 win over Mainz last time out, taking his totally tally to three goals so far in the season.
