Bundesliga outfit Schalke are said to have opened talks with Tottenham over a loan deal for Danny Rose, Sky Sports understands.
The 28-year-old defender has been on ice ever since he criticized Tottenham ambition and wage structure last year.
The subsequent apology did not help Rose get back in Maurizio Pochettino’s good graces and it is widely expected that the England left-back will leave London this summer.
Rose only managed 10 Premier League appearances last term after returning from a knee injury in October and will be keen to make a switch away from the club in order to get regular playing time elsewhere.
Schalke have reportedly swooped on the player with Bundesliga side aiming for a loan deal.
The German club have already approached the player’s representatives but there are no concrete details regarding the proposal.
