Bundesliga side Schalke have announced the signing of German midfielder Daniel Caligiuri from Wolfsburg via their official Twitter account.
According to Bild, the Miners will pay between €2.5m and €3m for their new recruit, who has signed a deal until June 2020.
Caligiuri is the second high-profile footballer to leave Wolfsburg this winter after Julian Draxler, and he clearly hopes he will enjoy more success with his new club.
The 29-year-old spent last three and a half years at Volkswagen Arena having joined from Wolfsburg and he managed to score 12 goals in 97 Bundesliga outings for the Wolves.
Caligiuri has made quite a few league appearances for Wolfsburg, but he never quite managed to establish himself as an undisputed starter.
His second season with the Wolves was the most successful one on personal level as the midfielder scored 7 goals in just 18 Bundesliga starts at the time.
