Schalke midfielder Ivan Rakitic has confirmed he would be interested in a move to Spanish side Atletico Madrid.
Reports in the Spanish and German press in recent weeks have linked the midfielder with a move to Atletico.
Rakitic told AS: “Do I want to play for Atletico Madrid? Of course. This is one of the best clubs in Europe and any player would want to play for such a team.
“This is a fantastic club and city, with great fans. Every footballer would be honoured to have Atletico interested in them.”
“My team-mate Jurado has only very flattering things to say about the club,” Rakitic added.
